Logistics Live! Visit to Amazon in Weiterstadt and the DUSS Terminal Frankfurt East
2024/11/28
How do logistics companies deal with unforeseeable challenges? Our students looked for answers – and found them! As part of the “Logistics Live!” excursion, 26 students, accompanied by our research assistants and Ren Kajiyama , immersed themselves in practice. Yuerui Tang
At Amazon in Weiterstadt, the students gained exciting insights into the processes of a distribution center: How do parcels reach the end customer efficiently and how are routes designed to be resilient?
They then went to the DUSS Terminal Frankfurt East. There, the students were given a guided tour of the terminal site, where a special highlight awaited them: a climb up a 25-metre-high crane with an impressive view.
A big thank you to Jonas Stolz and Natalie Aldea (Amazon) as well as Lukas Schombert and Philipp Müller (DUSS) for their time, hospitality and valuable insights into the company and how to deal with uncertainty in today's world. We are already looking forward to the next time!
