We collaborated with Transportation Research Board’s AT045 Intermodal Freight Transport Committee for this session on the challenges of climate change and intermodal freight transport. As part of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, the TRB provides leadership in transportation improvements and innovation through information exchange, research, and advice regarding all modes of transportation.

(1) Welcome and introduction (5 minutes)

(2) Key Note: Climate Change – The role that freight transport can play to avoid emissions (10 minutes)

Identifying initiatives in the field of freight transport to avoid emissions and create some order in the multitude of initiatives; each room will be supported and the discussion guided by one of the industry speakers.

Discussing and sharing identified initiatives from break-out sessions with Thierry Vanelslander and the industry speakers
