2017: ASIM

From 20th to 22nd September 2017 the 17th ASIM Symposium “Simulation in Production and Logistics” took place at the university of Kassel. On Europe’s biggest conference for simulation in production and logistics recent research issues and developments as well as interesting applications in simulation are discussed by researchers and practitioners. The Chair of Management and Logistics was represented by Prof. Elbert and his research associate Jan-Karl Knigge presenting on the topic “Analysis of Decentral Platoon Planning Possibilities in Road Freight Transportation Using an Agent-based Simulation Mode”. Additionally, Katrin Scharf held a presentation about the topic “Analysing the Influence of Hinterland Transportation Costs on Port Market Share: A Combined Discrete-Event and Agent-based Simulation Approach”.
