Scope and Topics

In the realm of Production, Logistics and Transport, the advent of digitalization presents remarkable opportunities for enhancing efficiency, visibility, and sustainability. However, with these opportunities come complex challenges across the transportation chain.

The focus of the conference is therefore on (but not limited to) the following interdisciplinary topics:

  • Networked, intermodal transport and logistics
  • Smart city and mobility
  • Industry 4.0 and autonomous value chains
  • Freight automation
  • Future intralogistics and warehousing
  • Data and information technology
  • Transport policy and governance principles
  • Predictive analytics and demand modelling

Target Audience

The conference addresses an audience concerned with the disciplines production, logistics and traffic, including spatial and transport planning, which is interested in discussing scientific and application-oriented approaches. Practitioners, politicians, representatives of public authorities and researchers from production, logistics and traffic are invited to benefit from the conference as a platform for knowledge-exchange and transfer.

During the two-day conference, distinguished speakers will deliver keynote addresses, delving into selected interdisciplinary topics. Designated innovative research and practice approaches will be showcased in 30-minute presentations during parallel sessions. In addition, the best contributions to the conference will be awarded. Furthermore, ample opportunities for networking will be available, with a conference dinner hosted at the conclusion of the first conference day.

LORE Special Issue

We encourage authors of high-quality abstracts to submit full papers for publication in a special issue of the academic journal Logistics Research (LORE). The submission to the special issue is independent from the conference submission and attendance. There are no special format specifications for submission, please follow the LORE “Author Guidelines.”
