Within the framework of the working group of the Bundesvereinigung Logistik (BVL) e.V., the topic of environmental and resource efficiency in logistics in the context of international production chains was studied together with logistics experts from about 20 well-known companies in the industry, trade, and logistics services sectors. The following topics were defined as the main focus of the working group, which will be designed and developed together with the participants in a total of 5 workshops.
- Drivers and stakeholders of environmental and resources protection in the logistics sector
- Measurement and assessment
- Solution approaches, measures, and best practices
- Communication of environmental and resource efficiency in the logistics sector
In addition to the logistics experts and the logistics team, numerous speakers from the service, Indusconsulting, and political sectors were involved in the content of the workshops, enriching the workshop with their know-how. The kick-off workshop took place on 27.02.2009 at the Technical University of Berlin. The results of the workshop were presented at the Logistics Forum Duisburg 2010 of the Bundesvereinigung Logistik e.V.
